The 21st annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® seminar gets underway this weekend

Country Cares Seminar "Meet the Patients" event

Country Cares for St. Jude Kids is one of the most successful radio fundraising events in America. Through the program, radio listeners are given the opportunity to call in and make a donation to the hospital. More than 100 country artists have given their names and time to Country Cares through recorded appeals, visits to St. Jude or call-ins to radiothons. Since the program’s inception in 1989, hundreds of radio stations across the country have helped raise more than $365 million in pledges to help St. Jude continue its mission of finding cures and saving children, and the St. Jude family of partner stations continues to expand.

Dedicated radio representatives from around the country as well as top-name country music artists will gather once again in Memphis January 14 – 16, 2010, to continue building on the program’s success. During the weekend seminar, radio station personnel and country music artists attend informative sessions on planning successful radiothons and have the opportunity to tour the hospital, meet patients and their families, and learn more about the lifesaving treatment happening every day at St. Jude.
